„All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights” reads the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, written in 1948.

As an association of families and friends of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons we feel obliged to remind everyone that this wonderful promise pertains to all people, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

We are the mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, cousins and friends of LGBT persons and we want them to be treated with the same dignity that straight people enjoy. For this reason, we support our close ones and everyone who aims to understand homosexuality, bisexuality and transgenderism.

Unlike some of the politicians, representatives of the church or commentators, we are not concerned for our families. The presence of homosexual or transgender persons in the public space is not a threat to them. That’s because the value and security of our relationships depends on love which we bestow on each other, not on whether we let others live according to their identity.

Neither homosexual nor transgender people threaten our sexual orientation. In turn, we are eager to help everyone who wants to speak about homosexual propaganda and is afraid for the civilization of white, heterosexual men.

We observe, in horror, the many inaccuracies and lies that are propagated in the media about homosexuality and transgenderism. This is why, as a coalition for the rights LGBT persons, we are not asking but demanding full equality for our children, our friends, and people close to us.
